This piece, a grade level 1.5, is aimed at string students who have been playing their instruments for about a year. Pedagogically, it was designed to work on right hand skills with various types of bow strokes, rhythms, and articulations. The piece also introduces some very simple chromaticism. Always approached from a half step, it's very achievable while providing some harmonic interest.
