Song for Jackson (Wind Band Score)

This is a lyrical work intended to memorialize a family friend. It celebrates the beauty of life, captures the pain and anger of loss, and closes with a sense of acceptance and peace. Originally scored for the symphony orchestra, the wind band version proves to be just as rich in texture. Filled with lush orchestration and beautiful harmonies, this work stirs emotion in the listener and sends a powerful message about how difficult the loss of a loved one can be.
